South Eastern Regional Board Meeting - August 2013
The board met on 22nd August 2013 at Barclays Tower, Canary Wharf. The meeting centred around industry statistics, trends and finance.
Kyle Jardine from the BPIF gave a detailed insight into the recent Printing Outlook he had produced. Findings were; print demand unexpectedly rose in Q2 and strong optimism for Q4. A fall in employment levels and there were signs that confidence was starting to build. He also explained how important this document is and that the CBI used the information in producing their forecasting. Kyle thanked the eight members of the board for supplying information for him to be able to produce the document. He urged them to ask any other members to complete the survey.
Three Barclays Business Relationship Directors, all working within the Manufacturing Sector, joined the meeting for a Q&A session. Topics discussed were Mergers and Acquisitions, regional banking relationships, overdrafts, cash back schemes and Government backed loans.
