Newcomer to the Photobook market

Romax based in Greenwich is a successful company employing 32 full time staff, with a turnover of £4.5m. They are well established in personalised direct market, mailing house services, specialising in database management and distribution and digital colour print. They have recently diversified into the consumer market, selling personalised photobooks, canvases and calendars direct to the public.

Chairman Robin Sumner said, “Although we are concentrating on our core skills, we needed another string to our bow where we could quickly build up a new and profitable area to complement our business to business customers. The Photoleaf product is a direct to consumer web based photobook service.  Added to this, there is a very profitable bespoke business where we can offer specially bound luxury covers and finishes from one-offs upwards. The school year book market is another sector that we are already exploring. In fact there are so many applications for 'memory ' books that we won’t be spoiled for choice"

To support and launch the product a three week radio advertising campaign has been running in the London area. Early days but the signs are looking good.
