Stationers' Company call for nominations for the Young Stationers’ Prize
This prize is given to someone under 40 who represents the high ideals of excellence in the sectors of books and archiving; journalism and communication; office products and supplies; print, paper, and packaging; publishing, and design. It is meant to honour those who produce excellent works within the sector, understand the craftsmanship of their particular areas, maintain a high level of respect for their own work, and are able to share their skills to ensure continuous success and excellence in their sector. Past winners of The Young Stationers’ Prize have been Dr Shane Tilton of Ohio Northern University (2018), Ian Buckley of Prima Software (2017); Ella Kahn and Bryony Woods, founders of Diamond Kahn & Woods Literary Agency (2016); Angela Clarke, novelist, playwright, and columnist (2015); and Katie Glass, of the Sunday Times (2014).
Awards are offered in the following areas:
• Print, Paper and Packaging
• Journalism and Communications
• Office Products and Supplies
• Publishing, Digital and Design
• Books and Archiving
Nominating someone (self-nominations are very welcome) for an award in one of the following areas is not hard. There is no special form to fill in but the following details need to be supplied:
• an indication of the Award applied for (see the bullet points above)
• a one page CV
• a one to two page personal statement by the candidate outlining how they fulfil the award criteria
• two letters of reference either by the nominator (if not self-nominated) and/or by an industry peer; and
• optionally, a maximum of four pages of additional supporting evidence (such as samples of the candidate’s achievements)
