Rotary Printers opt for the new Versant

Rotary Printers opt for the new Versant

Rotary Printers of Stourport on Severn have become only the third UK printer to adopt the new Versant 180 Digital press which was only launched in April. Along with other recent investments in a new laminator and foiler, the Midland based commercial printer - which already has two other Xerox machines - needed to print on heavier duplex business cards with speedier turnaround times - Teri Baron, MD at Rotary said ‘we're adding these extra services for people who want things within two to three days, we're already a fast turnaround company but that's the way the industry is going. This machine is very very quick with an equally quick setup so we can queue the work up and print it and while it's printing can be curing another job. It's more than halving setup time as it has been configured with Performance Package, which allows it to print faster on the higher paper weights. Ours also has an inline booklet maker and trimmer and as with previous Versants, it comes with an inline spectrophotometer for increased colour control automation.'

Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the area added, "Rotary has a stationery arm - Peter Handley Stationery - which is a BOSS member (BPIF's sister trade body) Rotary are BPIF members and Teri is the BPIF Midland Regional Deputy Chair so it's great to see a company which were previously an all litho house with an artwork department diversifying so much - it's what's allowing the company to continue growing and is something we'd advocate and support for all our members."
