Cost effective and flexible breakdown protection

ATLANTIC has for many years developed print industry specific Extended Warranty programs for print machinery owners, manufacturers and distributors aimed to provide breakdown protection for all PrePress, Press and Post Press/Finishing equipment and machinery, as a cost effective alternative to the manufacturer's traditional maintenance contracts. Don't be surprised if Atlantic and or these programs are unknown to you, as the success and the rapid growth of the Atlantic Extended Warranty programs internationally have been achieved mainly through word of mouth and or recommendation by existing customers.

ATLANTIC is a specialist provider of print equipment and machinery Breakdown & Extended Warranty Cover products throughout the UK, the US and Europe. The companies sales and technical support centres are based in Harlow, Essex and New York in the US. To ensure that there is an experienced and knowledgeable team to manage these programs, the company employs print industry specialists with many years experience in pre-press, press and finishing equipment and machinery sales, maintenance and breakdown service and support.

The ATLANTIC programs are now widely accepted as the most cost effective alternative protection for the repairs of print industry equipment or machinery. The specific aims of these programs is to reduce and control the annual spend in machinery repair costs, without this affecting the breakdown response times or the quality of support services for all Sheetfed or narrow Web Press, CTP, Wide Format Printer, Booklet Maker, Folder, Stitcher, Collator, Laminator, Perfect Binder, with all this supplied at a premium price which is generally at least half the current cost of a manufacturers maintenance contract.

What Does the Extended Warranty Cover:

  • Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Breakdown repairs
  • Parts Repair, Replacement and Mechanical Adjustments
  • Parts, Labour & Travelling costs covered
  • Help Desk Support
  • Annual Premiums fixed for 12 Months
  • Easy Monthly Premium Payment
  • Machinery Accidental Damage (Optional) Protection

ATLANTIC Pre-Press, Press & Finishing Equipment Breakdown Warranty provides cover for all Mechanical, Electronic and Electrical breakdowns or malfunctions, which require repair, replacement or adjustment of parts or components for any equipment or machinery covered, so if a part or component is broken, deformed, seized, shattered, snapped, sheared, over heats or burns out the repair costs are covered. The cover will reimburse all the costs of repair including Parts, Labour and Travelling costs and will also provide cover for the costs for any exploratory dismantling of the machine to identify the fault.

ATLANTIC provide Breakdown Warranty products that cover print equipment or machinery on a annual cover basis, with the initial cover period up to 12 months, there is also the option to extend for a further 12 months following the initial period of cover and so on until the machine is replaced. Cover may also be extended to include Accidental Damage cover for any accidental damage or accidental operator error damage caused to the machine covered that may occur. Premiums can be settled by a one off annual payment, or alternatively the combined annual premium can be settled by ten equal monthly payments, collected through our premium funding facility.

In the event of a breakdown, there would be no need to obtain prior approval from Atlantic; to reduce machine down time and to ensure the most effective and speedy repair of the machine that has suffered the breakdown, you can get the repair underway immediately by contacting your preferred repairer. The preferred repairer can be the manufacturer, their appointed distributor or any experienced independent and qualified engineer. Alternatively our help desk support team will assist you in obtaining an approved alternative repairer to ensure the fast return to production of the machine which has suffered the breakdown. ATLANTIC has teamed up with many of the leading national print repair company's to provide round the clock service and support and our support team will as required introduce you to one of the national network of approved specialist repairers, who are specifically selected and trained in the repair of the machine covered.

The ATLANTIC breakdown procedure is very simple, and is operated with the least amount of administration involvement by you; all breakdowns will be processed quickly and efficiently by our industry trained administrators. All that is required to process a claim is to supply a copy of the engineers, field service report, signed and approved by you, together with a copy of the invoice for the repair.

"Since changing from a manufacturer's contract to an Atlantic policy, we have been impressed with the quality and workmanship of the alliance partner repairers who have repaired our machines when the manufacturer did not have an engineer available"

"The Atlantic Extended Warranty policy has reduced our annual spend on maintenance without affecting the level of service and support we receive from the manufacturer and alliance partner repairers"

"What proved most beneficial to us is that although the Atlantic Warranty is insurance backed, the Atlantic sales and support team all have a print industry background with a proven print industry knowledge"

Atlantic Extended Warranty products are Print Industry specific, these are also specific to the machines used in the various specialist sectors of the industry, such as Sign, Digital, Commercial Print, Packaging and Label printers.

Atlantic have a specific warranty for all Wide Format Printers, Computer to Plate Setters, Sheet Fed Press, Label Press, Web Press, Guillotines, Folders, Collators, Stitching Lines, Booklet Makers and many more.

Pay a fixed annual premium for your warranty which covers all Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic parts, or component breakdowns, with all the related Parts, Labour and Travelling costs covered. Atlantic will not increase the fixed premium during the period of cover, no matter how many breakdowns experienced or the combined annual costs of breakdowns during the period of cover.

The Warranty programs are offered with our easy Premium Payment program allows the annual costs to be settled over ten equal Direct Debit monthly payments.

The Atlantic program offers the flexibility of choice to use the manufacturer to make the repairs for the machines covered by the warranty, alternatively Atlantic will arrange for one of our selected alliance service partners to make the repairs. Our alliance partners are fully trained and specialist repairers for the machine which has suffered a breakdown, these companies are well known and respected in the industry and are recognised as being some of the countries leading independent support companies.

By simply calling our help desk and the policy holder will be issued with a unique breakdown tracking number for each and every breakdown. With the flexibility to choose the manufacturer, supplier, or one of our alliance partners to complete the repairs. This will effectively increase the number of engineers who are available at anytime to repair the breakdown, and in particular this is beneficial at those times when the manufacturer cannot get the repairs completed as quickly as you would like.
