Severnprint's Mike Hood completes his BPIF apprenticeship and looks forward to a print career

Severnprint's Mike Hood completes his BPIF apprenticeship and looks forward to a print career

Mike Hood works for Gloucester based printer Severnprint and has recently completed his BPIF apprenticeship.

Mike Hood says “I would really recommend a print apprenticeship to anyone, it provides a step by step progression in which you gain confidence, maturity and experience that you can take with you in life.”

Mike also added about Severnprint “I am really pleased that Severnprint gave me this opportunity, it is such a successful company. They have taught me that in Severnprint customer services, we go that extra mile and I am glad that I am part of the team”.

Mike’s journey into the Industry is probably not uncommon as he describes;

My knowledge about print before joining Severnprint was vague, as my ambition was to get into the fitness and sports industry. I was at college for a year and a half before deciding that was not for me. I had an interview with Severnprint including a tour around the factory, which was really interesting. Before the interview I researched the company just so that I was up to date with all of the machinery and vaguely how it worked. I was successful and Severnprint employed me.
