NI Printing Industry represented at briefing with Arlene Foster MLA
BPIF Northern Ireland was represented at a recent CBI event in Belfast.
More than 100 senior business leaders attended an exclusive CBI lunch briefing with the Finance Minister Arlene Foster to discuss how the public and private sectors can work together to address the key challenges facing Northern Ireland’s business community.
The event took place at the Hilton Hotel Belfast, and also included insights from Paul Terrington, Regional Chairman at PwC and Richard Donnan, new Head of Ulster Bank in Northern Ireland.
In an audience - compiled not only from some of Northern Irelands finest bankers, lawyers and accountants; but also many leading organisations from the education, construction, agri-food, energy, healthcare and manufacturing - the printing industry was well represented by the BPIF and Terry Cross from Delta Packaging.
Arlene Foster (Minister of Finance and Personnel) stressed the importance that a stable political environment has in creating the conditions that will allow the private sector to drive the economy. However, the current difficulties surrounding the Stormont House Agreement and welfare reform are clearly stumbling blocks along this path.
A full press release from the CBI is available here - it also includes a link to the Minister's full speech.
