In-plants need to be more valuable to the Marketing Team

The In-Plant print community continues to experience pressures which come from the changes within their own organisations, these can be financial and business focused. The pressures can also be from the internal client demanding better quality and service and very often cost pressures to supply the printed product.

To support the In-Plant print community the ICPS recently released a technical article titled "Three ways for In-house print units to make their print more valuable to the marketing team". This article continues to highlight the need for the In-Plant print unit to consider the demands of the client and engage in conversations which go beyond process colour printing. These conversations are about being seen to be part of the organisation's bigger communications objectives and working more closely with internal departments and marketing by engaging with them, and taking ideas to them.

This article discusses personalised urls (PURL), QR and web2print. It describes what they are and why it is important to be aware of them. If this interests you then please call Daniel Godden on 07801 981 324 or email [email protected] for more information.
