Your response vital to bring £4.5m to transform print industry skills

Proskills, the proposed Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the printing industry and 4 other process and manufacturing industries needs your support. With enough sector backing Proskills will gain its licence and over its first three years would bring £4.5m of Government investment into the industry for research and development and over time have access to even greater funding for the sector. If licenced, Proskills will help employers in their recruitment, retention, development and realisation of a skills workforce. It will be for the industry, led by employers. The remit of the new SSC will be: · Recruitment and retention · Employer investment · Sector productivity · Essential and key/core skills · Health, safety and environment · Addressing the needs of SMEs Without your input and returned questionnaire the industry will lose out on this major opportunity.
