Harkwell Labels welcomes Sir Robert Syms MP

Harkwell Labels welcomes Sir Robert Syms MP

A grass roots view from a local business is always welcomed by MPs. On Friday 27 April, Sir Robert Syms, MP for Poole, visited Harkwell Labels in his constituency for the lowdown on print. Welcomed by Managing Director Tim Fountain, Sir Robert met many of the 22-strong team, including 19-year old Jack Lacey, who's recently finished an apprenticeship and joined the Harkwell Studio team permanently.

Sir Robert discussed with the team issues including investment, skills, the Apprenticeship Levy, Brexit and capital allowances.

Sales Director Barry Halliday said, "It was a very positive meeting, certainly beneficial for both Harkwell and the BPIF. It was extremely useful to have the opportunity to showcase what we do, and to have a face-to-face discussion regarding the challenges we are facing in our daily business."

If you'd like to meet your MP, either on your premises or at the Reception, contact Carys Davis, BPIF Public Affairs Adviser, on [email protected]. She can set up a visit for you and provide a briefing on your MP. You can also check out our 'Meet Your MP' template press release and information pack here.
