PDQ Sales Hub - special offer for BPIF members
For the last ten years, Haybrooke Associates has been developing an instant estimating and pricing solution that is built upon pure production logic. Initially sold directly to printers for use in a desktop environment, ‘PDQ' (predictive dynamic quoting) later became adopted as an online tool by professional buyers of print and used as a method to obtain instant automatic prices from their supply chain.
Over the last 12 months Haybrooke has been re-engineering its product to make it deployable as a printer's online customer automated estimating and pricing tool, rebranded as ‘PDQ Sales Hub'. With a swift setup process, you can be ready to begin inviting your customers to get instant production based pricing within a day.
PDQ Sales Hub is not based upon price lists, templates, industry averages or any equipment similar to your own. It is based upon your actual equipment. For every quote processed, the system creates a full production cost breakdown exactly like your MIS - so you can see how the machines have been deployed for each job specification, with costs shown for all production elements calculated.
For your customers it is a doddle to use. Clear product images, simple user interface, logical quote progression all on one screen. Unlike price-list driven websites, all product variables can be accommodated. Any finished size, any quantity, any colour combination, and special processes and any other variation of specification your customer can imagine.
For convenience, the solution has a built in API that can be used to collect all quoting and ordering activity and pulled directly into an MIS. The XML is JDF compatible, so integration with your MIS vendor should not be a problem, if needed - but it is by no means obligatory.
Current users of PDQ Sales Hub include ESP in Swindon and Linney Group in Mansfield. Also setting up at the moment is printed.com in Cramlington, who are supplementing/replacing their own price-matrix-based system the solution.
ESP, in particular, represents the level of success that can be achieved using PDQ Sales Hub when it is implemented properly and taken seriously - which they have; and do. Its customers are now producing in excess of 2,000 quotes per month (quotes that they do themselves) and placing orders in the system as a result. In some cases it has pushed the quote-to-order conversion ratio at ESP as high as 70%.
