Vivid announce partnership with color-logic foiling software

Vivid Laminating Technologies, Europe's leading designer and manufacturer of digital foiling & laminating systems, has confirmed an exclusive partnership with US-based Color-Logic^TM.

The Color-Logic suite of colour communication systems and software tool sets work in conjunction with Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign applications. They allow designers to work with an exclusive pallet of 250 unique metallic foil colours, all achievable using a digital printer and Vivid's award-winning Matrix Digital Foiling & Laminating System and its Aqua Aura silver or rainbow holographic foils.

Vivid's Product Manager Lewis Evans explains more "Our new Aqua Aura range of luxury foils are available in over 20 colours. By using the Color-Logic tools, you can now achieve 250 different metallic colours, all from one single roll of foil and with just a click of a button".

Color-Logic plug-ins and palettes for the Adobe suite are very easy to work with and save huge amounts of time. For example, the Photoshop plug-in intelligently analyses the levels of colour within a photo to create an image ready to be foiled, including shadows and lighter areas. The finished effect jumps out of the page and dramatically enhances print.

Vivid's exclusive alliance with Color-Logic offers the user 2 levels of software integration. The standard package includes the full design suite and FX viewer for 1 user, whereas the premium package allows up to 5 simultaneous users of the design suite & FX viewer, combined with 5 Pattern-FX which adds dimensions to the print.

"We're able to offer both packages on either a 3 or 5 year lease," continued Evans. "Combining the lease cost, printers can have access to our award-winning Matrix digital foiling system and Color-Logic's incredible metallic print effects starting from just £70 per week".
