BPIF Cartons races ahead

BPIF Cartons races ahead

On Tuesday 27 June BPIF Cartons hosted a successful evening for its members at Leicester Racecourse that included presentations on key topics for the carton industry. The event was attended by a good cross-section of carton converters and trade suppliers who enjoyed a meal afterwards whilst testing their luck on the horses.

Jon Clark, General Manager BPIF Cartons, said ‘It was great to welcome both new and familiar faces to this popular event which was attend by over 40 people. These occasions provide an ideal opportunity to update members on key issues such as the ever-changing background to UK apprenticeships, and the informal atmosphere in the evening allowed attendees to relax and meet suppliers.

This was the first members' event since we've reinvigorated the committee and we have a number of plans to communicate to members over the coming months. The event coincides with an exciting time for the carton sector particularly as the environment and true sustainability plans are the forefront of many brand-owners' minds. Folding cartons provide a strong retail shelf presence, are readily recyclable and enjoy an unmatched carbon footprint - no other packaging material can offer all these advantages.'
