Romax celebrate 20 years with open day

Romax celebrate 20 years with open day

Robin Sumner started Romax 20 years ago from his back bedroom and now has over 30 employees with a turnover of around £4m. To celebrate reaching this milestone Romax held an open day, inviting customers, friends of the business and employees. The open day allowed Romax to demonstrate their direct mail marketing production facility, as well as operational tours, workshops and networking.

Romax commented on the day, saying "The experience was to stimulate ideas on how to incorporate new concepts and ideas for our customer's next marketing campaigns, such as creating personalised messages depending on the socio-demographics and last purchase data.

"Our guests were intrigued and fascinated by what we do behind the scenes to produce their successful communication campaigns. We imparted our knowledge and technology on a production tour to show how we manage client's data securely and showed how to target accurately and increase the campaign ROI."

Marcus Clifford, BPIF Regional Director, who attended the day said, "The Romax open day provided a valuable insight into the internal and external efforts involved in creating successful marketing campaigns and it was great to see the pride of the team and individuals involved. A great thank you to Romax for the invitation, who reminded me of the benefits an open day can have for a business."

Don't underestimate the power of an open day as a great way to attract new clients, build brand awareness and showcase your products and services. Here are some key things to remember when planning an event like this:

1. Set event expectation wisely, then ensure you deliver by making sure the audience has a great experience and get what they expected from attending.

2. Attitude is infectious. Guests of the event will largely play off your attitude and dynamics during the event, make sure to lead by example and have a good time.

3. Make sure content is relevant to attendees and that they will walk away from the day with tangible tactics to improve their business.

4. Look the part for the day, people will remember how comfortable you are in your own skin.
