Glossop Cartons celebrates 35 years of packaging excellence
Leading UK packaging specialists Glossop Cartons are celebrating 35 years in the print and packaging business at the upcoming Packaging Innovations show in Birmingham (March 1-2).
To mark the occasion, the Packaging Superheroes are swooping in to exhibit on their biggest ever stand, where the team will be on hand to highlight the company's unique and innovative packaging solutions. A number of exciting new packaging samples will be displayed from the wide range of sectors serviced by the company, including beauty, household, food, drink and pharmaceutical.
Jacky Sidebottom-Every, sales director at Glossop Cartons, comments: "Packaging Innovations is always a key event for the company but we're especially excited to be here in our 35th year and to be celebrating with a few surprises in store for visitors.
"It really does just seem like yesterday that we were starting out in a small factory unit as a small scale start up that soon became a solid family-owned and run business. We're still proud to offer the same family values to our customers and we go above and beyond to offer a personal service despite our growth and this ethos sets us apart from many of our competitors.
"Our passion for innovation has driven the business from the very beginning, from being the first company to achieve ISO:9001:2000 to our investment into the Highcon Euclid, and last year being the first in the world to commission the next generation Highcon Beam, which has further bolstered our finishing capabilities for mainstream carton and commercial markets."
From developing a personalised packaging service that allows brands to target consumers directly, to augmented reality possibilities and large-scale cutting and creasing capabilities, Glossop Cartons has always been at the forefront of the packaging innovation revolution.
Throughout Glossop Cartons' 35 years history, the family-owned and run business has established itself as one of the UK's leading innovators in packaging solutions, and has risen from a humble start up in 1982, to a thriving industry leader employing 84 staff at its premises in Stockport, Cheshire.
As the business grew and its production capabilities were boosted with additional machinery to better service its clients, the company went from strength-to-strength and in 2012, the company produced its billionth print item and a series of industry and business accolades followed.
The installation of the Highcon Euclid in Summer 2013 ensured that customers benefitted hugely from faster production speeds, greater flexibility, cost savings on shorter runs and vastly improved cutting and creasing capabilities including laser cutting to allow for intricate carton designs.
