A first for Dayfold
Dayfold based in Verwood, who have recently re-joined the BPIF, have become the first UK company to purchase a Prinect Business Manager MIS system from Heidelberg and the new equipment will be fully up and running in early 2017.
The MD at Dayfold, Les Abbott Fryer said "We've been waiting for the UK launch at Drupa this year which is what persuaded me to buy the new system along with its pre-press links."
He added "Our staff have great experience and knowledge of the industry but they spend a lot of time feeding data into a machine. The new system will give us much more automation for our estimating and order processing. It also has a variety of other modules and an online portal for print buyers where they can make online requests and track the status of their work."
This new addition to the company's plant list follows the installation of a new foiling machine and adds to their HP Indigo 5500 presses and existing Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74. This with the variety of finishing equipment the company already has, allows them to handle the volume and complexity of its current work a lot more comfortably.
