Glossop Cartons achieves AA grading from the British Retail Consortium

Glossop Cartons has become one of a small number of UK carton manufacturers to achieve the highest AA grading status from the British Retail Consortium for its commitment to achieving excellent standards and a high level of hygiene across its entire production process.

The prestigious award will ensure that Glossop Cartons can continue to offer customer assurance across its lithographic carton range and deliver the highest standards of product safety, hygiene, quality and waste management to the food and consumer sectors.

Celebrated as the global standard for packaging excellence, the BRC grading system is the first accreditation to be recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) and provides a benchmark for the manufacture of all food packaging applications.

In line with the Food Standards Agency and its adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point), the grading streamlines the supplier approval process and ensures that food brands, retailers and raw material processors can choose their suppliers with the confidence that all legalities have been met.

Jacky Sidebottom-Every, Sales Director at Glossop Cartons comments: "This award is testament to the high production standards we work to throughout our production processes and we're delighted to receive this seal of approval from the BRC and to offer the highest quality assurances to our customers within the food manufacturing sector."
