Print Trailblazer development is well underway thanks to industry consortium

A trailblazer is a new employer-defined standard for apprenticeship programmes. The standards are employer owned, relate to specific occupations, and feature a graded end point assessment.

In March 2015, we announced that the employer-led submission to develop new apprenticeship standards for the printing industry had been successful.

Trailblazer standards for Management Level 3 and Level 5 have now been approved and will be launched by BPIF early next year, while the trailblazer for print is in development by a consortium of employers from the industry, chaired by James Buffoni of Ryedale Group Ltd.
