Apogee take on RideLondon 100 to raise £8500 for Global's Make some Noise children's charities

A team of 13 brave Apogee staff are taking on the 100 mile Prudential RideLondon sportive event next month to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise and the charities they support across the UK.

Part of the Prudential RideLondon festival of cycling, the RideLondon-Surrey 100 takes place on Sunday 31st July and will be a severe challenge for the Apogee riders taking it on! The race starts in the Olympic Park and follows a 100-mile route on closed roads and up some very steep climbs across the Surrey countryside before the welcome sight of the finish line on the Mall.

Gary Downey, Group Marketing Director at Apogee said: “Global’s Make Some Noise charity inspired us at Apogee to get involved and raise money because it supports so many brilliant charities across the UK which are operating on a shoestring.  Charities often initiated by just one or two people, incredible individuals who really make a difference to young people and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity, doing really life-changing work in their communities but because they are small projects they don’t have a voice, they struggle to get heard and compete for funds.”

“Each year Global’s Make Some Noise awards grants to specially selected projects up and down the country to help them do the amazing things they do, and at Apogee we want to help make these things happen.  We have staff and offices across the country and all of us can identify with the challenges youngsters, families, parents and carers face.  We are really excited to be working with Global and helping support these small brilliant charities and the disadvantaged children and young people that rely upon them.”

Apogee is also official Print Partner to the Prudential RideLondon and will supply the organisers with a fully managed print and document infrastructure over the weekend of Saturday 30th July and Sunday 31st July to keep the festival rolling.
