European Print Federation News
BPIF are full members of INTERGRAF, the European Federation for Print and Digital Communications. They will be attending DRUPA and will have a presence on the German Member Federation, if you wish to discuss European concerns/issues please book a meeting with them while you are at DRUPA.
Intergraf will be hosting a Direct Mail Seminar in Barcelona on 3/4th November 2016. It will include case studies, presentations, envelope market, legal background on Date Legislation and a tour of a printing company.
Security International Conference and Exhibition will be held on 9th May in Seville.
World Printing and Communication Forum will be held on 30th August in Korea.
The European Commission is studying the situation regarding food contact material. Baseline study reports, German initiatives and information on the expected European Parliament report.
The EU implemented anti dumping duties of 8% to 35.1% on imports of paper from China from 2011 to 15th May 2016. The paper companies have now asked for a prolongation of the duties. Since the duties were implemented the exports of Chinese product has dropped by 97% to Western Europe.
