600 million of the OS Industry represented at the BOSS East Anglia networking lunch

Welcome to this weeks good news update. This week we are featuring a recent event held in the East Anglia Region. The BOSS East Anglia networking lunch was a great success with over £600 million of the OS Industry represented.

The Cricketers in the rural countryside of Clavering, North Essex, was the charming venue for the first CEO Networking Lunch of the year hosted by BOSS East Anglia. 18 key OS industry professionals met to enjoy great food and company in the beautiful English country Inn run by the Naked Chefs parents.
Delegates ranged from heads of wholesalers and buying groups through to manufacturers, key independent dealers and service providers to the Industry. In total the business turnovers were well in excess of £600 million.

Luke Chapman, Chairman of the Eastern Region, said: “I am delighted with the feedback we have had from this event and we are committed to continue with them on a quarterly basis. The role of the regional committee is key to ensuring that the role of BOSS is executed effectively. We were able to facilitate genuine networking opportunities as this was an ‘invitation only’ event. I am sure that business will be done on the back of it.”

He continued “Next time we will include a ‘hot topic’ for a forum session to really get under the skin of current issues and initiatives. Should anyone in the industry be interested in getting involved, please feel free to contact me directly on 0845 459 4589 or email [email protected].”

Robert Baldrey, CEO of the Vasanta Group, who attended the lunch said: "This was an excellent event, giving local industry members a chance to network in an informal setting".

The BOSS regions exist to give BOSS members additional benefits at grass-roots level. All members of BOSS are encouraged to participate in their regions either on a company or individual basis. The regions are run by a committee of volunteers from the industry. These committees act to serve the needs of companies at local level through offering networking and social events as well as trade events such as exhibitions or fund-raising initiatives.

"I would personally like to take this opportunity to thank all the BOSS Regional Chairmen and Committee members for their hard work and dedication – they do a fantastic job." Michael Gardner

If anyone is interested in becoming involved with their regional committee please contact [email protected].
