Free October Pension Roadshows - Are you ready for auto-enrolment?

Free October Pension Roadshows - Are you ready for auto-enrolment?

The Law on workplace pensions has changed, with new legal requirements for all employers irrespective of company size. Employers with less than 30 employees are now affected and your obligations are not optional. Failure to comply will result in daily fines of £2,500.

It is therefore vital that you are prepared. You will need to undertake the following tasks:

  • Issue communications to your employees
  • Identify a qualifying workplace scheme and decide on scheme options
  • Assess your workforce for enrolment eligibility
  • Offer the scheme to other jobholders
  • Make employer contributions
  • Submit returns to the Pension Regulator
  • Collect employee contributions at source
  • Maintain records
  • Add new members and cope with opt-outs

Help is at hand. The BPIF, together with the Printing Industry Pension Scheme (PIPS), is supporting employers through their auto enrolment headache. Our advisers will take you through all the planning options and necessary preparation, as well as the delivery of a registered scheme.

You can either contact Alan Hudson from Meridan directly on 0800 132 100, or attend one of the following FREE roadshows being held around the country. Numbers permitting, the roadshows will give you an opportunity for one-to-one discussions as well as an in depth presentation on the requirements and the help available.

If you would like to attend any of the events, please email Steve Walker, BPIF Commercial Products Manager, at [email protected] or call 01676 526050.
