Park Communications Widens Offering

To meet Park’s customers’ increasingly demanding and changing needs, Park has widened its service offering by investing in additional digital printing, mailing equipment, ISO 12647-2 colour management certification, and ISO 27001 Information Security Management certification.

DIGITAL
The installation of a new HP Indigo 7800 is now complete, adding to Park’s colour and mono digital printing services, and allowing the company’s offering to reach those who demand the highest quality short-run and variable data productions at the most economical price.

The team has been strengthened by the appointment of a very experienced Indigo operator and all members of the department have been given training both in Barcelona at HP’s training centre and at
Park’s premises in London.

Roy Bidd, Park’s Data Processing Manager says ‘we are really pleased about the new Indigo and the opportunity if provides our customers to tailor publications to reflect their own customers’ individual needs.’

MAILING
The well-established mailing operation at Park has expanded its floor space within the Park premises and added an ‘intelligent, high speed envelope inserting system’ (Kalmar KC45 machine) capable of handling up to three camera matching inserts of bound and stitched documents.
Staff numbers have also increased.  Mailing Supervisor, Marina Hill, says ‘the team is excited to be able to provide a faster service with greater project control.’

ISO 12647-2
Having worked to the standard for the past few years, Park has now gained the formal certification.

ISO 27001
To further enhance the Park offering, and to validate Park’s existing information security systems, Park has also committed to the ISO 27001 Information Security Management standard, completion of which is expected this autumn. This certification, and adherence to its policies and procedures, in addition to procedures and facilities which are already among the most secure in the UK, will provide customers with further peace-of-mind when transferring data for printing and mailing.

Park’s Managing Director, Alison Branch, describes these investments as ‘a significant widening and strengthening of our offering to customers, demonstrating our commitment to support our customers’ changing needs.’
