Unite official recognised in PrintWeek's Power 100

Steve Sibbald, Unite national officer and trustee of The Printing Charity recognised in PrintWeek’s Power 100 for 2011.

London, England, 29 July 2011: PrintWeek’s annual Power 100 recognising the leading lights in the printing industry, as voted for by its readers, has ranked Steve Sibbald in fifteenth place this year.

Steve Sibbald, Unite’s national officer responsible for national and provincial newspapers, and all commercial print groups in the UK, commented: “It's good to see that the trade union maintains its influence in the print industry to the extent that one of its national officers has been voted fifteenth in PrintWeek’s Power 100".

Stephen Gilbert, chief executive of The Printing Charity, added: “This is a great accolade for Steve and well-deserved recognition of his work by people in the industry. He has been one of our trustees since 2005, providing a vital link for the charity to the UK printing industry.”

This year’s winners were unveiled at a special event hosted by PrintWeek at Sationers’ Hall, London, on 27 July 2011. See www.power100.printweek.com
