What is Printing Outlook?

Printing Outlook has become a key indicator and benchmark guide for the sector, aiding decision making and consolidating the views and trends that effect our sector. Your input into this is hugely valuable and makes it even more representative of what is really happening with your perspective. If you do not currently participate in the survey, please do and provide your valuable input for the good of the whole sector. If you also have any thoughts on how it could be made better or highlight other information you feel is valuable , we welcome your feedback.

What is Printing Outlook?

The BPIF's quarterly printing industry trends survey. It covers topics such as – your top business concerns, orders, output, price levels, capacity, costs, margins, investment, exports, pay reviews, productivity, late payment and payment terms, public sector procurement and paper & board prices and supply.

As well as reporting on the BPIF's latest quarterly survey of trends in the printing industry, Printing Outlook also incorporates:

Why should you participate?

We know that our members are concerned about some or all of the topics covered in Printing Outlook; responding to the survey will enable us provide information back to you that will help you make better informed decisions about your business.

Recently a member contacted us as they had a client that wanted some current industry research. We sent them Printing Outlook; they responded to say:

“Just a note to thank you, this info is spot on and I am sure will be a great help to my customer. This will hopefully help us in securing a sizeable contract; I will let you know how we get on. Thanks once again, very much appreciated.”

Printing Outlook also helps us represent you and our industry to Government, the Bank of England, the CBI, other trade associations and European and worldwide printing industries.

Action

The survey is live during the first two weeks of January, April, July and October. Look out for the emails inviting you to participate and spare the 15 minutes or so it takes to complete the online survey. One contact at each company is asked for their input – if you’re not receiving any emails please contact Kyle Jardine (BPIF Research Manager - [email protected]).
