BPIF Business launches with benchmarking

BPIF Business is the name for the BPIF’s new commercial business support services. The new division will include three main sections: Business Benchmarking and diagnostics tools, Improvement Projects and Short Courses. "The new structure focuses the available products into three distinct areas spearheaded by the portfolio of Benchmarking Tools that will help companies to highlight where improvements are most needed. This suite of tools – ranging from the Printing for Profit survey report and the Health & Safety and HR Healthchecks to a full business Benchmarking study - will show companies which areas of their business will benefit most from the Improvement Projects," she continues. Working closely with Vision in Print, BPIF Business will shortly be training 10 facilitators for the Small Business Service’s Benchmark Index, which claims to be the most widely used benchmarking tool in the world. Business Improvement Projects will be delivered by the BPIF’s associate specialists who have considerable expertise in a wide range of business issues from financial strategy to health and safety, factory planning to marketing. Short Courses are available both as open programmes but more popularly, as tailored in house courses. "Contrary to popular belief, a recent survey showed us that BPIF member companies alone spend about £3 million every year, outside the BPIF, on professional advice. We are confident that demand will continue to grow as companies realise the value of investing in expertise rather than hardware for their businesses. Our unrivalled knowledge of all sectors of the market and our wide network of industry-wise associates and advisers places the BPIF in a leading position to provide printers with a range of value-added services to their specific needs," says Director of Corporate & External Affairs, Cicely Brown, who has just taken on responsibility for the division which will be available for both members and non-members. BPIF Business has a new area on the BPIF website, www.britishprint.com/business which shows case studies, examples of programmes and price guidelines both for members and non-members.
