2004 Educational Scholarship update

Twenty-year-old Darren Ammar, a graphic design student at the University of Hertfordshire, and a £2500 bursary winner in the 2004 Educational Scholarship Awards run by the BPIF and the PCC has completed a very successful first year and has written in to say a big thank-you. In a letter to the PCC and BPIF Darren writes :- “ I was lucky enough to be one of the four recipients of the first Scholarships. I have just finished my first year of a Graphic & Design Course at the University of Hertfordshire, after having completed an Art Foundation there. Thanks to the money I received I was able to buy an iMac, which my tutors told me was the best computer to buy for my course. It also helped with all the materials I had to get, which are very expensive. I obtained a High Distinction in two essays and a High Merit in both my project and course work which included magazine layouts, CD covers and inserts, a calendar and advertising posters. The sponsorship money has helped considerably and winning it has given me the opportunity to enhance my work. I would like to thank the committee again for having confidence in me." The BPIF wishes Darren the best of luck with his continued studies.
