BPIF general election print planning group

Twenty-one printers attended a lively meeting of the BPIF’s general election print planning group on Wednesday 19 January. A number of issues emerged that the BPIF, together with a smaller working group of ballot printers, will be using to produce guidance for returning officers who are planning for the 2005 general election. The next stage in the planning process is for experienced election printers to attend the Electoral Commission’s regional briefing seminars for returning officers, which will be running from the end of February to late March. These will be a good opportunity for printers with experience of producing ballot papers for general elections to speak directly to returning officers about their print needs. If you are interested in attending the regional seminars, or would like to know more about the BPIF’s general election print planning group, please contact Lizzy Hawkins on 0207 915 8319 or email [email protected] for information about dates and venues.
