BPIF Past-President Ken Iddon honoured
BPIF Past-President Ken Iddon has been awarded an MBE for his services to the printing industry in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, published on 17 June. Ken Iddon, who was BPIF President from 2003-05, is Chairman and Chief Executive of NB Colourprint, Chorley. A passionate believer in developing the skills and talents of employees at all levels, Ken’s Presidency included chairing a BPIF/Amicus/DfES Working Group on funding for training, and a membership of the Joint BPIF/Amicus Partnership at Work Review Body. BPIF Chief Executive Michael Johnson says: "Ken Iddon has shown qualities of vigour, integrity and intelligence. His contribution to the printing industry over 40 years is unique. He has devoted himself voluntarily, with unmatched zeal, to the pursuit of excellence in Education and Training and in taking forward the joint initiative to develop a new industrial partnership between the BPIF and Amicus for the UK printing industry. He has a tremendous single-mindedness to contribute to the development of the industry, with a breadth of understanding of the different stakeholders he works with which enables him to achieve his aims. Men of Ken’s calibre are rare. By his outstanding record of personal drive, commitment and enterprise he thoroughly deserves recognition in the Honours List, given the vital role industry plays in the life and wealth of the nation."Intergraf Economic News (Paper Prices) - April 2024
