Designing artwork for Sign and Display projects is different to designing artwork for use in a commercial print environment.
This workshop will guide attendees through the process covering the differences between commercial print and signage artwork.
The workshop will focus on the following areas and using techniques learned during the day, attendees will produce effective layouts for signage using Adobe and CorelDRAW software:
- Introduction to layout
- Use of fonts
- Use of logos
- Prioritising text
- Negative space
- Effective use of colour
- Using photographs
- Troubleshooting layouts
- Examples of good and bad principles
