Information

Do you know which characteristics of your products and packaging are most valued by consumers?

Do you want to understand the unspoken, emotional decisions made by consumers?

Knowing which aspects of your products to prioritise can save costs and minimise risk involved in innovation - creating unique advantages in competitve markets and resurrecting underselling products.

You are invited to the Retail Institute's breakfast seminar where we will share the work we do to help companies across the packaging supply chain to learn what your customer's desire, but can't express.

Date: Thursday 16th March 2017
Time: 08:00-10:30
Location: RB322, The Rose Bowl, Leeds Beckett University, City Campus, Leeds

The Detail

This introductory session will focus on Kano, a scientific approach to consumer testing that delves deep into the consumers' mindset, providing a clear understanding of the needs that they can't express themselves.

Dr. Dong Hoang, a Research Fellow at the Institute, will offer her insights as a Kano practitioner into why this method can, and has, worked in the FMCG and packaging industries, exploring one key example that allowed our clients to revolutionise a key segment of the market.

Who will benefit?

Professionals working in the following areas will benefit from this session:

  • Product, Pack and Service Innovation
  • Market Research
  • Consumer Insights
