Professional Certificate in print Management student in Student of the Year finals

Karen Herbert, Scheduling Manager at Vertis Direct Marketing Services Ltd in Leicestershire has made the finals of the PrintWeek Student of the Year Award. One of 27 graduates from the first two cohorts of the BPIF/Loughborough University Professional Certificate in print Management course, Karen was nominated for her hard work and determination on the course. Entries for the award were whittled down to just three finalists by a panel of industry judges based upon interviews and a portfolio of work. The Print Week Awards, which take place on 18 October at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, recognise talent within the industry. Alison Smith, Head of Management Development at Loughborough University and tutor on the Professional Certificate in print Management course, believes Karen more than deserves to be acknowledged for her efforts on the course, ā€œIā€™m thrilled that Karen has been rewarded for all her hard work over the course of the 12 month long Certificate. It is a demanding course, especially if you have a family and a busy job, but Karen was determined to overcome any obstacles and reaped the rewards of her hard work this summer at the graduation ceremony.ā€ Karen is also gratified at being put through to the finals of the award, "It has been a great honour to be nominated and shortlisted for The Student of Year award. The Certificate in Management has proved to be an invaluable aid to my career and I would highly recommend this course to anybody aspiring to a role in Senior Management". We wish Karen the best of luck at the awards on Monday.
