Fire Brigade Industrial Action

Over the coming weeks, the Fire Brigade will not be responding to fire and special calls during periods of industrial action.The dates are:13 ? 15 November start 18-00 22 ? 30 November start 09-004 ? 12 December start 09-0016 ? 24 December start 09-00The Government contingency arrangements cannot be expected to substitute the expertise and rapid response that we now take for granted.Our industry is high risk due to the flammable and combustible materials used in the processes, so it is vital that we, whatever size and type prepare immediately to take preventative inexpensive and simple steps to reduce the chance of fire breaking out.A document that has been rpoducced by the Deputy Prime Ministers Office in conjunction with the Fire Prevention Association, and asks key questions about fire safety and will assist in identifying many of the issues that need to be considered as part of a fire risk assessment.
