Training and Regional Growth Fund - RGF

In last months BPIF Regional e-newsletter I discussed the increase in businesses I have met looking at new investment and over the past few weeks  have been discussing the access to Regional Growth Fund (RGF) which provides funding to support:

• Investment to support and strengthen businesses
• Protect or Create jobs
• Build on Creativity

Again it’s well worth looking at the funding finder on our BPIF website which I looked at recently and was surprised at the information available on untapped funding. Whilst not all will be relevant it’s worth a look if it saves you money!

I was at the launch of the BPIF Graduate foundation degree last week where the dynamic Ellis Watson reviewed his life in print and how he saw a positive future for the sector if it did certain things. Google him and you will be amazed at his career and what he has achieved with a big sprinkling of energy and passion!

He is currently MD of DC Thomson but  managed Celador with the success of who wants to be a millionaire, was News Internationals digital marketing Director, Headed up Simon Cowells Business, CEO of MGN, Was CEO of Menzies, CEO of First Group and so on. He left school with no formal qualifications.

The buzz from the room full of energetic individuals who have signed up for the Foundation degree was tangible and the sense of opportunity very alive.
