Out of Classroom experience

Out of Classroom experience

The BPIF's ‘Introduction to Print' seminar was recently taken out of the usual classroom environment at their Midland office in Meriden in favour of the Cinema Room at Webmart in Oxford.

Dawn Reid, the BPIF Regional Director said ‘The content of this seminar is excellent but we just wanted to try a different environment where those attending could touch and feel some printed/finished products.'

Ben Johnstone of the BPIF's training team, who ran the session, brought a fabulous array of matter with him supplemented by some point of sale and 3D printed material also - some of which was ‘tested' by the candidates who were asked to identify which process had been used to print the material.

Ben added "The facilities were exceptional and the surroundings encouraged the group to be open minded to the wider world of print. Everyone involved on the day enjoyed the information and tasks and finished the day having a greater knowledge of print."

To continue with this theme, the next seminar on 16th November will be held at Hunts Print Café in Oxford with a tour of their production facility also.
