Duplo Product launches to add extra sparkles to London Calling

Duplo Product launches to add extra sparkles to London Calling

Duplo will be unveiling several innovative new products at London Calling, an event growing in stature each year for the finishing company celebratory its 30th anniversary in 2014.

Building on its best-in-class systems through extensive R&D, Duplo and its partners will be showing visitors to London Calling - at East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf, on 15-16 October 2014 - how advances in technology can create added value and increase revenue through new applications and innovations.

Duplo will use the event to formally unveil new finishing systems launched during 2014.  One of the major attractions will be the live showing of the Duplo iSaddle Duetto System, one of three new iSaddle systems; the fully automatic stitching system offers intelligent automated precision combined with PC controlled technology.

The iSaddle brings the advantages of flatter publications from the old-generation saddle stitchers and combines them with the automation of modern bookletmakers with many additional features including A4 landscape capability.

Building on an award-winning range of multifinishers Duplo is also launching the DC- 616PRO, the DC-646 and the integrated folding system for the DC-646 models.

The DC-616 is an all-in-one solution for finishing standard short run jobs such as greeting cards, invitations, menus and 24-up business cards. It is able to slit, cut, crease and perforate bringing automation and greater efficiency to the finishing process.

The DC-646 is the latest variation of the DC-646PRO launched at IPEX replacing the DC-645i, the optional integrated folding system also being launched works without impacting the productivity of the multifinishers.

Other new products for London Calling include the DP-F850 digital duplicator and the DM230Vi direct mail collator with barcode driven variable data capability, as well as the commercial launch of the UB-6000 PUR Binder.

The UB-6000 is a closed tank system ideal for producing a number of different jobs in the same day. The hotmelt side gluing “locks the book in” meaning it can be trimmed and packed for the customer faster than conventional PUR-only devices.

Sarah Crumpler, Marketing Manager for Duplo UK, said: “We are genuinely excited at the prospect of celebrating this special anniversary year at London Calling and bringing to market such a wide range of new products that we are confident will bring huge growth opportunities for our customers. All the people we’ve spoken to have shown a commitment and desire to attend this unique event for us and our partners to demonstrate thought-leadership and inspire further new developments that benefit our industry.”
