Try Out Training

Darrin Stevens (Group Training Director for Polestar) will be the keynote speaker at the Try out training evening on Tuesday 26th April. This event, organised by the Path to Learning (P2L) project, offers print companies the opportunity to try out management, marketing and IT training, as well as having the chance to talk to course providers and other companies during a buffet supper. Workshops available during the evening will include “How to plan a marketing campaign”, “How to identify and build on your leadership style”, “How to build a winning team” and “How to manage colour”. At the end of the evening you will have learned new skills, to apply in your everyday business activities, and found out more about the variety of business-oriented courses available in this region. Staff from local printing SMEs, who have already undertaken training, argue persuasively that it has improved their working practice and helped their companies: “It has been a benefit. I can now see ways of making improvements and increasing efficiency”, “It has helped me immensely – I would have struggled in my new position if I had not been involved with the course” and “Definitely helped … I feel more confident in management issues”. The event is free but places are limited. You must register by 15th March to guarantee a place. Email [email protected] or phone 0113 343 2782 for further information.
