BPIF have urgently called for further direct support for the printing industry during the coronavirus crisis. On 30 March, BPIF called upon Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP, Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (central to the Federation’s lobbying efforts) for the Government to implement a number of measures.

We are receiving a lot of questions from both employers and employees on whether print businesses can remain open - and it has been brought to our attention some employees are now being questioned on their travel to work by authorities. (in job roles where it is not possible to work from home)

The current guidance from Government is clear - there is no requirement for print businesses to close, however, employees should only be travelling to work where it is not possible for them to work from home.
