Apprentices in print given a voice
The BPIF is the leading apprenticeship provider within the print industry and recognises the importance in giving the youth of the industry a voice. This is why they have formed the BPIF Apprentice Council to ensure that their apprentices have the opportunity to shape the delivery of their training programmes. The council will also provide a platform for council members to express their views on the industry and make clear their needs. This will all feed into the BPIF's schools programme which aims to attract more school leavers into the printing industry.
The BPIF Apprentice Council will meet twice a year and the Chairman has been named as Josh Levett-Thomas, from Hobbs, who has recently completed his advanced apprenticeship in Mechanised Print Finishing & Binding. The council members have a representative from each of the 6 BPIF regions who are all currently undertaking an apprenticeship with the BPIF.
