In the case of a promotional campaign for mobile phones they were able to print up to two separate pieces of variable data.

Both pieces of variable data were printed on the base label, with one of the codes showing through a clear panel on the face label. This construction is ideal when running a competition when the supplier may need to verify the accuracy of the claim.

Variable data printing enables the mass customization of labels via digital print technology, as opposed to the 'mass-production' of a single document using offset lithography. Instead of producing 10,000 copies of a single document, delivering a single message to 10,000 customers, variable data printing could print 10,000 unique documents with customized messages for each customer.
