Are your supervisors helping you to make most of your workforce?
The third Team Leader Training programme starts on the 26th September and comprises 4 two-day residential modules over the next four months. Many supervisors are picked because they are technically strong with less note taken of whether they possess the essential skills of leadership and management necessary to drive team performance and productivity. Supervisors who do perform well can be considered the ‘DNA’ for developing good operators, because their standards and attitudes are usually reproduced throughout the rest of the workforce. Supervisory management and process skills can be taught, but commercial pressures of running a factory leave many managers struggling to find time to provide the necessary mentoring and guidance in these areas. This is why ViP and the BPIF have joined forces to offer specialised training, which focuses on equipping your team leaders, be they from any department from pre-press, to finishing, customer service, accounts or administration, with the skills to manage their teams, resources and processes in the most effective way possible.
