Precision Card Services takes home East Cheshire Business Award for environmental progress

Precision Card Services (PCS) is delighted to announce its latest award win at the 2024 East Cheshire Business Awards, where it received the coveted award ‘Progress Towards Carbon Neutrality’. This award recognises the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability within the card manufacturing industry.

Adam Unsworth, Managing Director at PCS commented “As a business we have made significant strides in reducing our environmental footprint. A key contributor to this achievement has been the launch of our innovative card substrate ‘PVC-R’, a material made from 100% recycled PVC, that can also be recycled again at the end of its lifespan.”

PCS’s commitment goes beyond material innovation, with the company implementing a series of changes across its manufacturing processes, prioritising greener practices. These measures include adopting energy-efficient equipment and lighting, minimising waste generation, and implementing responsible waste management strategies.

“We are thrilled to be recognised for our dedication to environmental responsibility,” added Adam Unsworth. “As a printer and manufacturer, it is essential that we continue finding innovative ways to minimise our environmental impact and contribute to a greener future.”
