H&H Reeds upgrades their digital printing with a new Versafire EV
Cumbria-based H&H Reeds Printers took delivery of a new Versafire EV 5-colour machine to upgrade their digital printing, enhance competitiveness, and offer their customers a wider array of product offerings.
H&H Reeds Printers needed a new digital solution that would allow them to offer something different to their customers and create extra capacity. “The timing was right for a change in press. The print industry is changing, and we are always looking to give our customers the best print options. By adding a 5-colour digital press to our fleet, we believe we are doing this, and are very excited to see what products we can create for our customers, both new and old,” says Gareth Rylands, print manager at H&H Reeds Printers.
“I expect productivity to remain constant to start with,” he said, “then begin to grow as we start to offer more products. The addition of the extra colour means that we now have a great set of options to offer to our customers.
“We are very proud of our long-standing relationship with Heidelberg, which gives us industry-best tools that allow us to produce the highest quality print products for our customers. This is why we continue to invest in their quality machinery and technology.”
The Versafire EV high quality, reliable production of CMYK standard jobs, as well as embellishment using seven special toners: White, Varnish, Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, Invisible Red, Gold and Silver.
The Versafire EV has an increased printing speed of 85 or 95 A4 pages per minute, and processes grammages of up to 360 gsm. This ensures a high level of productivity. Furthermore, the system can print banners of lengths up to 700 mm (duplex) and as much as 1,260 mm (simplex).
