The Terrier Derby – the greatest dog race you should have heard of!

The Terrier Derby – the greatest dog race you should have heard of!

Bob Pain owns Omni Colour and has a passion for racing and raising money for charity, one of which is the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. He founded the Terrier Derby in 2003, a madcap event which gives all it’s proceeds to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Bob has a just giving page and it would be great to get some contributions, please click here to donate.

Bob joined us recently at BPIF’s Members' Day and his energy, wit and passion for life, the industry and people was all consuming. An interesting modern ‘renaissance’ man who does great deeds.

‘A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.' - Saint Basil (329-379), Bishop Of Cesarea

The next Terrier outing is Sunday 25 August at Epsom Downs Racecourse, KT18 5LQ.  Registration is from 12.00pm.

CANINE ANARCHY

Since 1780 the historic Epsom Racecourse has been the home of the world famous Derby and since 2003 it has also has been the scene of canine anarchy as dozens of barking mad terriers compete in the Omni Terrier Derby.

The Omni Terrier Derby has grown in popularity with dog owners and spectators over the past 15 years. An unmissable slice of nonsense that also raises an ever increasing amount for charities and keeps all number of canine hooligans off the street.

Along with their roving international reporter, Anna Webb from BBC Radio London's "Barking Blonds" programme has attended several Omni Terrier Derbies.
