Apprentice19, a major apprenticeship event to be held in the City of London on 18 - 19 June 2019
The Stationers’ Company is becoming a powerful influence on the Apprenticeship landscape. Given the Company’s strong involvement with the Creative Industries, and the UK’s global lead in these sectors, the Stationers’ Company is well-placed to facilitate employment opportunities for a diverse group of students from across Greater London.
Building upon the success of last year’s Apprentice 18, held at Ravensbourne University, the Stationers’ Company was invited by the City of London Corporation to hold Apprentice 19 at the Guildhall. It forms the centre piece of the Corporation’s Careers’ Festival.
The BPIF will be representing the printing industry and has four spaces for members to exhibit and showcase the dynamic and creative world of print.
To be part of the BPIF print space at this year’s event and have the chance to not only speak with students about the career opportunities that await them, but promote the print industry through your business, email Amy Hutchinson at [email protected]
Over 60 potential employers together with existing apprentices will be there to tell thousands of students about apprenticeship and employment opportunities. Students can enter a pop-up virtual reality cube from Hobs, the printers, learn about digital apprenticeship opportunities at Pearson, an apprenticeship in journalism from The Telegraph, a software engineering apprenticeship at the BBC or an apprenticeship in marketing and print solutions at Paragon Communications. They will be able to talk to Google, Accenture, Aon, Bloomberg, Barclays, Capgemini, KPMG, Shepherds Bookbinders, The Army and many more.
Apprentice 19 will take place on Tuesday, 18 June and Wednesday, 19 June 2019 at Guildhall, City of London
Our Economist (and Northern Ireland Manager) was a young bright-eyed and bushy-tailed researcher when he joined the BPIF in 1996, a few years later he ran the London Marathon - he's just done it again and helped raise some funds for a great cause.
The UK is a big exported of printed products - to the value of £3.1 billion in 2018. The UK exports more printed matter than it imports to all but 11 countries in the world. Want to know more? BPIF members can download the Print Trade Data file and explore further.
