New BPIF member in Northern Ireland
The BPIF would like to welcome W&G Baird, one of the largest commercial printing companies in Ireland, into membership.
Established in 1862 by brothers William Savage Baird and George Courtenay Baird the company is well known for launching the Belfast Evening News (now Belfast Telegraph) in 1870.
With a history of strong investment W&G Baird has the ability to print anything from leaflets to coffee table books and folders to magazines. Items which have regularly helped the company pick-up wards at the Irish Print Awards.

Slight recovery of output and orders falls short of expectations in Q4 - confidence concerns mount in 2024

Performance in the UK's printing and printed packaging industry did improve in Q4, as far as output and orders are concerned. However, it didn't come close to what would historically be considered the seasonal norm, nor quite match the subdued expectations for Q4.
