UKAS enters the last stage of ISO12647-2 accreditation with supervised company audits

The BPIF have long championed the benefits of implementing the best practice identified by the Scheme Requirements booklet as a way of reducing waste and production costs. The BPIF are happy to announce that companies will soon be able to obtain fully independent ISO12647-2 certification by a UKAS accredited body that recognises this Colour Management excellence.

Initial work by UKAS has been carried out and a date has now been set for a supervised audit of a certification body carrying out an audit of a company looking to gain this certification. After this has been done and assuming there are no further developments required by UKAS, then by July, UKAS will accredit the certification body.

This will mean that companies will be able to not only gain the benefits of implementing the best practice, but will also be able to provide their clients with the same recognised independent certification that has become so important with Quality (9001) and Environment (14001).
