Support for Young Explorers with new Campaign from Premier

Support for Young Explorers with new Campaign from Premier

UK based paper and media supplier Premier are launching a new initiative that will help to benefit schools around the UK.

Following the recent launch of the Explorer range of papers, Premier have announced that they are running a special campaign on the Explorer brand called “Young Explorers” throughout February, March and April 2022.

Companies that order a specific quantity of Explorer paper from Premier throughout the month will be given the opportunity to nominate a local primary school of their choice to receive a set of 10 pairs of wellies and 10 sets of waterproofs as part of The Outdoor Guide’s Waterproofs & Wellies Project; the aim of which is to help make outdoor learning available, fun and inclusive for all children, irrespective of their background.

Matthew Fisher, Premier’s Sales Director - Office Papers comments, “Introducing Explorer from the Navigator Company is an exciting development and extends the choice of products from Premier’s office papers portfolio. The launch of the Young Explorers Promotion will also give us the opportunity to support the Outdoor Guide Foundation with their waterproof and wellies campaign to provide sets of outdoor clothing to every primary school in the UK and make exploring the outdoors accessible to all.”

The World Health Organisation has warned of a looming global mental health crisis as a result of Covid-19 with an estimated 1 in 10 school children having a diagnosable mental health condition. Studies show that spending more time outside can increase concentration, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as self-awareness and improved sleep, which in turn leads to better behaviour. The Children’s Society says that spending time outdoors and in nature enhances a young person’s short and long-term wellbeing. It is also known to improve mental development and personal fulfilment whilst allowing for activities that can improve team work, social interaction and empathy; not to mention reduce stress and anxiety.

The Outdoor Guide Foundation is dedicated to many new outdoor enabling initiatives – the first being The Waterproof and Wellies Project for Primary School children, the future generation who need to experience, understand and protect nature. The aim of this project is to see children from all backgrounds getting outside and enjoying the natural wonders that are all around them and enabling them to learn about & enjoy the outdoors; the project is supported by CBeebies television presenter Gemma Hunt. Gemma will join the companies to present the waterproofs and wellies to the nominated schools and their young explorers.
