Entries for the 2017 Kathy Woodward Award for Learning are now open!

Entries for the 2017 Kathy Woodward Award for Learning are now open!

Launched in 2015 in memory of the BPIF's much loved CEO Kathy Woodward, who sadly passed away in 2014, the £1,000 Award - sponsored by Webmart - supports individuals in the print, packaging and graphic design industries to further their careers.

The 2016 winner was Melanie Fox, Artwork Supervisor at Multi Packaging Solutions, who put the prize money towards the purchase of a laptop, which enabled her to complete her studies with the BPIF and further her knowledge of the field at leisure. Of the award, Melanie said, ‘I feel extremely privileged to be recognised as a recipient of the BPIF Kathy Woodward Award, and would like to thank both my BPIF assessor Dominic Wing and my colleagues at the Multi Packaging Solutions Artwork Services department for their continued support and encouragement.'

Chris Pinborough, Production Director at Precision Printing and first recipient of the Kathy Woodward Award, who invested the money in his fees for the BPIF MSc Management course, said, ‘I feel incredibly humble and proud to have won. Kathy was a true ambassador for print, her philosophy to develop staff for the future is something I aim to achieve at a more local level.'

To apply for the £1,000 Award, you will need to submit a 500 word proposal on why you should receive the award and how you would spend the money to further your career in the print, packaging or graphic design industries.

The winner will recieve a cheque and trophy at a ceremony taking place in London on 4 July.

All applications should be sent directly to [email protected] by 5pm on 22 June 2017.
