Information

As businesses we all face difficult choices in today's tough economic environment. Organisational change, workplace disputes, workforce motivation, issues with trade unions and so on can all have an impact on both survival and growth. For many employers, making sure that there is a productive, efficient working environment on the shop-floor where front-line managers can get the best from their staff is key to reducing costs and building the competitive edge in developing sales.

Research shows that the key relationship in the workplace is between an individual and their immediate line manager. It is the line manager who has the greatest impact on the motivation and performance of employees. Positive encouragement of employees should be a prime consideration for any business and any manager within that business.

This BPIF event can help you consider the impact you and your management team can make in helping your people to perform at their best and to feel valued, involved and heard. You can see how the practice of simple techniques and processes can improve workplace relationships, reduce absence and staff turnover and increase profitability through clear direction and feedback.

The agenda will take delegates through the following 5 step process, using a combination of advice, presentation, practice and feedback. It is suitable for managers, HR specialists and directors at all levels.

- Face the problem
- Prepare and plan in advance
- Communication skills you will need
- Techniques you can use
- Structuring the conversation
